Perfection Foods, the UK’s largest producer and wholesaler of handmade cakes and muffins, is proud to announce a new partnership with leading Dutch supermarket chain Albert Heijn— marking another major milestone in our expanding export journey across Europe and beyond.
As one of the most respected and high-end supermarket chains in the Netherlands, Albert Heijn is often compared to the UK’s Marks & Spencer for its focus on premium quality and innovation. With a dominant market share, AH (or “Appie” as it’s fondly known by Dutch shoppers) sets the bar for excellence in retail — and we’re proud to be working with them.
Perfection Foods was recently invited to present a new selection of our hand-decorated gateau cakes — a showcase that led to the selection of two key SKUs for a planned launch. This opportunity follows months of development in collaboration with Albert Heijn’s bakery buyers as part of their autumn range review. With production and final confirmations now underway, we are excited about the potential rollout of our high-quality gateaux into stores later this year.
